Simple Past Tense

 

 



Simple Past Tense কী?

সহজ কথায়, যে কাজগুলো আমরা গতকাল, গত সপ্তাহে বা অনেক আগে করে ফেলেছি, সেগুলো প্রকাশ করতেই এই টেন্স ব্যবহার করা হয়। যেমন: "আমি ভাত খেয়েছিলাম" বা "সে খেলেছিল"

সহজ নিয়ম (Rules):

. এই টেন্সে ভার্ব (Verb)-এর Past Form ব্যবহার করতে হয়

. বেশিরভাগ ভার্বের শেষে শুধু -ed যোগ করলেই তা Past হয়ে যায়। এদের বলা হয় Regular Verbs

·         উদাহরণ: Play Played, Walk Walked, Open Opened

. কিছু ভার্ব একটু দুষ্টু! তারা নিয়ম মানে না এবং পুরোপুরি বদলে যায়। এদের বলা হয় Irregular Verbs

·         উদাহরণ: Go -Went, Eat -Ate, See -Saw, Drink -Drank
