Neighbours
1.
How well do you know the people who live next door to you?
My
neighbours are people I know well. My neighbours, Mr and Mrs Sharma are more
than just next-door neighbours; in fact, they are more like close friends.
Also, I frequently go to Mrs Seema, who lives across from our house, to play
chess with her since she's a lovely lady. Also, I have a couple of neighbours
who are good friends with my family and we get along really well.
2.
How often do you see them? [Why/Why not?]
I
almost always see them. Every time I leave the house, I notice them waving
their hands in my direction, and I reciprocate. In addition, I frequently greet
some of our neighbours who stroll through the park in the morning. We go to
their place when we visit each other, and they come to see us at least once a
week, if not more often.
3.
What kinds of problems do people sometimes have with their neighbours?
I
think neighbours frequently argue about the maintenance of society, which may
occasionally be the root of the issues. In addition, failing to respect one
another, and acting irrationally, are a few more factors that may contribute to
poor neighbour relations.
4.
How do you think neighbours can help each other?
Neighbours
are as significant as family. They will always be by our sides and share in
both our joys and sorrows. Thus, by offering his or her helping hand in tough
times, a nice neighbour can be extremely beneficial. They take care of our
property while we are gone, and with time, they may even develop into close
friends.
5.
Do you think your neighbourhood is a good place for children?
Yes,
without a doubt, it is a nice spot for kids since it contains a park where kids
can relax and have fun. There, they take rides and swing. Also, It is a gated
society with proper security, which makes it a fairly safe location for
children to play and roam around.
6.
Do you think you are a good neighbour?
I
try to be, at least! I constantly go above and above to assist any neighbour
who is in need, and my neighbours reciprocate. Additionally, I always
contribute to the planning of community events. Therefore, I believe I am a
good neighbour.

influence people?
The internet
has completely changed how we live. It’s made it so much easier to find info,
chat with people, learn new stuff, and even find work. For me, I can’t imagine
learning without it.
There’s just so much out there, way more than what you get in school.

much time online?
You know, I
gotta admit, there are times when I’m just scrolling through social media or watching

of entertainment.
5. What would you do without
the internet?
Hmm, picturing life without the
internet is really a challenge. I guess I’d probably spend more time with real
books, take more leisurely strolls,

ANSWER 2
1. When did you start using the
internet?
I started using the internet in
the late 90s when dial-up was
the norm. It was all about that distinct modem sound
connecting me to a world of information.
Initially, it was for school projects and playing simple online games, but it
quickly became a tool for exploring a wider world.
2. How often do you go online?
I’m online
pretty much all the time. Whether it’s for work, staying connected with
friends, or catching up on the latest news, the internet is integral to my
daily activities.
It’s hard to imagine a day going by without at least checking my email or
scrolling through social media.

The internet has a profound impact on people’s

distant friends.
It would definitely encourage me to engage more directly with the world around
me and perhaps revive some old hobbies that don’t require a digital connection.
SAMPLE
ANSWER 3
1. When did you start using the
internet?
I started using the internet when
I was senior two, specifically during the summer vacation.
That’s when my dad got a 486-type computer with
a modem. So, that was the first time I had access to the internet. I logged
into some chat rooms because, at the time, there was no social media, and chat
rooms were where I met some very interesting people.
I also logged into music-themed BBSs and
met even more people, which started my interesting online journey.
2. How often do you go online?
Every day. Since I began surfing the internet, it has become an
integral part of how I live my life, blending both my online and offline
experiences.
It’s like an artificial space where reality and virtual life are merged and
inseparable in our days.
3. How does the internet
influence people?
I think the internet is a web that literally links people’s
brains. It doesn’t necessarily link people’s hearts, but it definitely connects
their minds.
If there’s an interesting or significant idea, it can spread very quickly. It’s
like a field of wheat, and the idea is like the wind.
After the wind passes, you can see the wheat bending over. It’s amazing to see
the internet spread ideas just like the wind blowing through the air.
5. What would you do without
the internet?
I think it would be very hard for me to get used to a life without
the internet.
Nowadays, you can just send a message on WeChat and reach someone who is far
away.
But if everything were to disappear, we would have to revert to a time when we
only wrote letters to communicate with people. Honestly, it’s unimaginable.
IELTS
Speaking Part 1 : Accommodation
1. Do
you live in a house or an apartment?
I live
in a flat in a 25-storey apartment building with my family. I enjoy my life
there, because all facilities and services are available within walking
distance, which means I can easily grab anything I need in just a few minutes.
2.
What is your favorite room in your home? Why?
Definitely
my own bedroom. It’s the personal space where I can do whatever I want without
getting scolded by my mom. Besides, my bedroom is an ideal place for me to
avoid noise, so I tend to lock myself up in my bedroom whenever I need to
concentrate on my study.
3.
Would you change anything about your home? Why / why not?
Well,
perhaps I would expand the dining area. It is the common space for family
members to gather, so I think it would be nice if my house’s dining room could
be a little more spacious.
4.
Would you like to move to a different home in the future?
Although
my current accommodation is perfectly fine, I would love to experience living
in a villa once. Since it was my childhood dream to have a swimming pool and a
garden of my own, a villa seems like an ideal house for me.
5. How
is your apartment decorated?
My
home is styled in a minimal way. Almost everything is painted in plain white,
and a few landscape paintings act as a delicate touch. The interior design is
simple, but very pleasant to look at.
6. Do
you plan to live there for a long time?
Answer
1: My answer would be yes. I have nothing to complain about with my current
accommodation. Everything is up to par, from the neighbours to the vicinity to
amenities. That’s why my family has no intention of leaving this wonderful
neighbourhood.
Answer
2: That was never my plan. Two years ago I decided to rent a room here because
my house was too far and it took me forever to get to my office. But I only
stay here for maybe 1 or 2 years more before I can afford a house of my own.
6. Do
you have a garden?
Unfortunately,
no. There is not enough space for a garden in our flat, but I would love to
have one in the future. I think every household needs a green space, not only
because it is aesthetically pleasing, but also because it is a good way to get
in touch with the natural world.
7. Are
there many amenities near your home?
My
house is located in a residential complex, so everything is within reach. There
is a gym, a park, as well as a wide variety of shops, which are more than
enough to cater for all residents in my area.
8. Who
do you live with?
I live
with one of my coworkers, who was also my college friend. We share the rent and
other expenses like electricity and water, so it’s not really expensive.
9. How
long have you lived there?
I’ve
been living here since 2016, so it’s 2 years more or less although I did spend
6 months living in HCM city. I thought about moving somewhere else, but living
here is pretty great and fun. Besides it’s really close to my office.
10.
What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have lived
in the past?
There’re
quite a few differences. My parents’ house is huge with separate rooms, each of
which has its own bathroom so it’s really convenient and private. However, my
apartment right now is much smaller and I have to share a bathroom with my
roomate.
11.
Which room does your family spend most of the time in?
Probably
the kitchen where we eat together. Unlike other families in town, we don’t
watch TV very often, at least I don’t watch TV so we never sit together in the
living room. Dinner is the only time of day that we all sit together and enjoy
our meals.
12.
Are the public transport facilities to your home very good?
Not
even slightly! The bus stations are always crowded with people who are really
inappropriate and always talking out loud. The floors are so dirty that I don’t
even want to step inside a station.
13. Do
you prefer living in a house or a flat?
Each
type has some things to offer me but I would have to go for a house. There’s
usually more space, and the water supply is much more reliable.
14.
What part of your home do you like the most?
My
room. It’s big to begin with. There’s a bookshelf attached to the wall which is
my favourite spot for reading. And you know what’s best? The bathroom. I have
my own bathroom in my own room.

IELTS speaking test part 1 sample questions answers -
Culture
1.What role does culture play in your life?
Answer: I
believe that culture and tradition play an important role in the lives of all
people because they teach a variety of life lessons and virtues.
2.What kinds of cultures exist in your home country?
Answer: My
home country is India, and there are numerous religions, each with its own
traditions, from north to south and west to east. In Gujarati culture, for
example, it is mandatory to wear traditional attire on special occasions. There
are also distinct cultures for Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, and Telugu people,
among others.
3.Do people
like learning about their culture and traditions?
Answer: Yes,
people learn about their culture and traditions from their teachers, parents,
and, most importantly, their grandparents. These lessons have helped people
develop an appreciation for their cultures, and as a result, they value their
traditions and cultures.
4.Do foreigners respect the cultures of their host countries?
Answer: Non-native
peoples maintain their cultures and even celebrate in traditional ways. In the
United States, for example, people celebrate Halloween, during which they dress
up as characters from fairy tales and ghosts, carve pumpkins to resemble the face
of a ghost, and leave chocolates on each neighbour's doorstep.
5.Which culture do you represent?
Answer: I am
from a Gujarati family and follow the same culture.
6.How do you feel about different cultural groups?
Answer: I
firmly believe that people who adhere to their cultures make me proud because
there is no other culture that gives you positive vibrations, encourages you to
learn new things, and, most importantly, brings you closer to your loved ones.
7.Do you like to dress in ethnic clothing?
Answer: Indeed,
I enjoy wearing ethnic clothing because it is more comfortable and flattering
than western clothing.
Question
1:- What are the benefits of using technology?
Answer
– In my opinion, two are the most important perks. Modern
devices such as computers, tablets and smart watches allow you to be
everywhere, even lying in the comfort of your couch. In other terms, if you
have to go shopping, you will no longer need to come over to physical
retailers, but you can order whatever you want on Amazon or eBay without moving
a step. In addition to this, technology can be of great support in case of
health problems. Indeed, technological devices are nowadays connected directly
to the emergency room, and if something happens, especially to the elderly
population, doctors and nurses are immediately advised.
Question
2:- Do you like to use new technology?
Answer
– Sure, I do. Especially if I have to work from home, workers
can operate precisely the same way they would if they were in the workplace.
Furthermore, I use it to purchase many items, and this is so funny because I
can compare prices and see the clients’ feedback and
ratings on products. All these activities are really thrilling for me, and I
would spend a busman’s holiday doing this.
Question
3:- What technology do you often use, computers or cell phones?
Answer
– That’s a hard question. But if I have to tell the truth, I am
one of those computer-addicted users. I don’t think mobile phones can replace
the old computer tower. I think it is more stable and performant than
cellulars, and, for this motivation, I prefer to use them.
SAMPLE ANSWERS
1. DO YOU MAKE
PLANS EVERY DAY?
Yes, I do,
for many reasons.
I always carry a small notebook
which I plan my daily schedule with, plans and notes. It sounds quite
conventional but it works for me. Writing stuff down helps me remember tasks
better than typing on some kind of productive app. I spend about 5 minutes at
the beginning and end of every day to plan that day and the next day’s tasks.
The important thing is you need to keep your to-do list small, it’s about prioritizing.
2. ARE YOU
GOOD AT MANAGING YOUR TIME?
Objectively
speaking, I am quite good at it.
I think once you are in the habit of controlling yourself according to
your time table, life becomes very easy. Good time management will help you
with various other skills and competencies that graduate employers seek,
from perseverance, resilience, reliability and coping with stress to problem solving and
teamwork.
3. WHAT
IS THE LATEST PLAN YOU MADE?
Well, I’ve recently planned to
travel across the country before the age of 30. I want to visit different
places as much as possible to gain first-hand knowledge and experience.
Travelling fascinates me more than anything else. In
reality, it would be quite challenging for me to fulfil the plan, but I will
try my best to organize everything even it takes several years for me.
4.
WHAT IS THE HARDEST PART ABOUT MAKING PLAN?
Well, there
are a lot of considerations when preparing for a plan, but I think it is
establishing goals.
Establishing clear, concise and understandable goals — is
extremely necessary. When people can’t see the vision of the plan, they won’t
take action to pursue the plan. Clear objectives should be come up with, whereas
teammates or members should also be gathered and delegated tasks appropriately, if needed.
