বাক্যে কোনো
কিছু নিজে "হয়/আছি"(am/is/are)
বা নিজে "ছিল/ছিলাম"(was/were)
বোঝাতে এই
Verb গুলো ব্যবহার
করা হয়।
১. বর্তমান কাল (Present Tense): Am, Is, Are
বর্তমানে কেউ
কিছু হয়
বা কোনো
অবস্থায় আছে
বোঝাতে এগুলো
বসে।
·
Am: শুধুমাত্র I (আমি) এর সাথে বসে।
o উদাহরণ: I am a student. (আমি একজন ছাত্র।)
·
Is: একজন ব্যক্তি বা একটি বস্তুর (He, She, It, Rahim, The pen) সাথে বসে।
o উদাহরণ: He is a doctor. (তিনি একজন ডাক্তার।)
·
Are: অনেকজন ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর সাথে এবং You (তুমি/তোমরা) এর সাথে বসে।
o উদাহরণ: We are friends. (আমরা বন্ধু।)
অতীতে কেউ কিছু ছিল বা কোনো অবস্থায় ছিল বোঝাতে এগুলো বসে।

Was: একজন বোঝালে (I, He, She, It, Rahim) বসে।
o উদাহরণ: I was ill yesterday. (আমি গতকাল অসুস্থ ছিলাম।)
·
Were: অনেকজন বোঝালে (We, They, You) বসে।
o উদাহরণ: They were in the field. (তারা মাঠে ছিল।)
