পাঠ (Lesson): "To-Have" Verbs এর ব্যবহার
'Have' বা 'Has' মানে কোনো কিছু নিজের "আছে" বা "থাকা" বোঝায়। অন্যদিকে 'Had'
মানে কোনো কিছু নিজের
"ছিল" বোঝায়।
১. বর্তমান কাল (Present Tense): Have, Has
বর্তমানে কারো কাছে কোনো কিছু আছে বোঝালে এগুলো বসে।
·
Has: শুধুমাত্র একজন ব্যক্তি বা একটি বস্তুর (He, She, It, Rahim, The cat) সাথে বসে। এটি 'Third Person Singular Number' এর জন্য।
o উদাহরণ: He has a pen. (তার একটি কলম আছে।)
·
Have: I, You, We, They এবং একের বেশি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর সাথে বসে।
o উদাহরণ: I have a football.
(আমার একটি ফুটবল আছে।)
o উদাহরণ: They have a big garden.
(তাদের একটি বড় বাগান আছে।)
o
অতীতে কারো কাছে কোনো কিছু ছিল বোঝালে Had বসে। এটি সবার ক্ষেত্রেই (I, He, She, We, They, Rahim) একইভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

উদাহরণ: I had a pet dog. (আমার একটি পোষা কুকুর ছিল।)
